Sterling Montessori welcomes employment inquiries at any time during the year. In general, most interviewing and hiring for faculty positions occurs in the winter/spring; however, we will accept resumes throughout the year. Behavioral Support Assistant (BSA)

Sterling Montessori is seeking a Behavioral Support Assistant (BSA) who has experience working with students ages 3-14years old. Ideal candidates have Montessori experience, or desire to learn the Montessori method. Candidates will receive a teacher assistant salary to support students, teachers, specialists and administrators with schoolwide behavioral needs. Candidates will work under the guidance of the Behavioral Specialist and the EC/Inclusion Director. 

This person should possess the following qualities:

  • A love and passion for working with children
  • A working knowledge of the varying needs of students with disabilities
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Understanding of behavior strategies/interventions
  • Skills to be able to assist with data collection.
  • Willing to take direction from lead specialist and directors
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with the staff at Sterling Montessori
  • Punctual and dependable in attendance 
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills 
  • Positive Discipline required to take
  • CPI trained (required to have or willing to be trained)

Support/Floater

Sterling Montessori is seeking a Support/Floater who has experience working with students ages 6-14 years old. Ideal candidates have Montessori experience, or desire to learn the Montessori method. Candidates will receive a teacher assistant salary to assist in beforecare, support students, teachers, and administrators with schoolwide needs. The hours are from 7:30-3:30. Candidates will work under the guidance of The Director of Student Affairs.

This person should possess the following qualities:

  • A love and passion for working with children
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Willing to take direction from lead teachers and directors
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with the staff at Sterling Montessori
  • Punctual and dependable in attendance 
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills

Part-Time Aftercare Teacher

Sterling Montessori is seeking qualified Aftercare Teachers who have experience working with students ages 3 to 6 years old, or elementary-aged students. Ideal candidates have Montessori experience, or desire to learn the Montessori Method. Candidates will work 3:00-6:00 pm under the guidance of the Aftercare Supervisor.

This person should possess the following qualities:

  • A love and passion for working with children
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships with the staff and parents at Sterling Montessori.
  • Punctual and dependable in attendance
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills

Substitute Teachers

Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School is always interested in adding substitute teachers to our on-call list. We use this list to provide coverage in our classrooms (Children’s House – Middle School) when a teacher is out.
